Harry Dell explains to us the meaning of the term “millennial” which means anyone born after the year of 1980. A Millennial has always had some form of technology. Mr. Dell introduces the many benefits of using the podcast in the classroom. He gave many examples including podcasts assisting students in making up class work, allowing students to utilize project based learning, and providing students with relevant information.
Judy Scharf Podcast Collection
Judy Scharf explains in this website what a podcast is how affordable they can be, the equipment you will need for them, and how they can be used. She also provided helpful links to view videos that allow you to make a successful podcast. I really like that she provided her students with topics that were fun and not boring nonsense.
Langwitches-Podcasting with First Grade
This blog demonstrates how exciting podcasting can be to children. The children were thrilled at the fact of having an audience and listening to themselves as well as their fellow classmates in audio. The podcasts seem to give them a sense of responsibility and that they are doing something that the older children can do. The podcast assignment also allows children to open up to their environment more. For example, the quiet, reserved students talk more than usual and interact with the other students.
You need to add links.
